4. Ein römerzeitliches Pyramidengrab und seine Ausstattung in Tuna el-Gebel. Ein Vorbericht zu den Grabungskampagnen 2007 und 2008

Abstract

In the years 2006 and 2007, a Roman temporal stone grave was uncovered with pyramidal superstructure which contained intact grave goods with gilded mummies, dead beds, statues and amulets. This preliminary report presents the excavation findings is in its current processing status, illustrating its position in the field of tension between innovation and tradition in ancient Egyptian funerary cult of the Roman period of Egypt. The discovery of a large stone tomb ptolemaerzeitlichen and Roman burials time about 350 meters north of the tomb of an Egyptian excavation team Pet Osiris by the spring of 2008 illustrates the original extent and significance of the Greco-Roman necropolis.
