Abstract

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SR/MA) on the prevention and treatment of child and adolescent mental disorders are increasingly available. When conducted using rigorous methodological standards, these knowledge syntheses provide a gold-standard information source that can guide healthcare decision making and inform priorities for future research. Because little attention has been given to documenting and improving their methodological rigor, we applied SR methods to evaluate the quality of SR/MA on the prevention or treatment of child and adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide.
