Abstract
Asian American parents face a unique set of challenges in parenting due to the emotional stoicism that is ubiquitous in the upbringing of this population. This presentation aims to bring direct insight into day-to-day parenting through the stories of a first-generation Chinese American family and how understanding attachment development reshaped the emotionally barren landscape in which we raise our children.
