Abstract

Micro Light Emitting Diode (Micro LED) displays are expected to become the next generation display technology due to the potential advantages such as lower power consumption, higher resolution, longer life time and faster response speed. Active driving Micro LED by thin film transistors (TFTs) is one of the bottlenecks to realize the productization of Micro LED displays. It is thought that Micro LED should be driven by the constant current pulse width modulation (PWM) method. The PWM driving methods of Micro LED can be furthermore divided into digital method and analogical method. This report will introduce our progress and thinking on active driving Micro LED by TFTs technology.
