Abstract

PrefaceThe 3rd International Conference on Research Methodology in Built Environment and Engineering (ICRMBEE 2017) was held on 8–9 November 2017 at Best Western Hotel I-City, Shah Alam, Malaysia. This year marks the 3rd instalment of the ICRMBEE series that carries the same focus on the method adopted in the area of built environment and engineering. With the theme, Regenerative Sustainability in Built Environment for Human Livability, ICRMBEE 2017 hope to provide an opportunity for interaction and exchange of ideas on the most appropriate ways of building bridges across universities, research institutions, government, industry and experts from around the world in signifying built environment and engineering research in the societal livelihood. We are proud to announce that all accepted papers will be published in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science indexed in SCOPUS.Research and innovation has helped the globalization, modernization and the development of human capital in many ways. This year ICRMBEE is trying to connect human liveability into the equations, not just the quantitative and qualitative means of research methodology. We hope to see many research methods are carved and contour with regards to benefit our nations livability that add up to a community's quality of life, including the built and natural environments, economic prosperity, social stability and equity, educational opportunity, and cultural, entertainment and recreation possibilities.
