Abstract
Octopus arm has no rigid structure, and it is almost composed of muscles located various directions. Therefore, it is flexible mechanism and can perform complex functions. This study aims at development of the new soft mechanism using the thin McKibben artificial muscles which imitates the structure of muscles of the octopus arm.
