Abstract

FR-DWBA calculations including the recipes to fold spin-orbit potential with bound-state wave function for the reaction12C(3He,7Be)8Be, have been performed, in an attempt to resolve the characteristic differences between two7Be-states having different spin values. It turns out that the “asymmetry” arising out of the different spin states is the right quantity to simulate the experimentally observed differences in the angular distributions of two7Be-states.
