Abstract
Coordination polymers [Ln(bta)0.5(ox)0.5(H2O)2]·2H2O (Ln = Tb (1), Eu (2), H2ox = oxalic acid; H4bta = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid) were hydrothermally synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG, XRD as well as single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Coordination polymers 1–2 display three-dimensional (3D) network structures, which can be simplified into a 3D network with topology symbol of {412·63}, and the topology type is pcu. The luminescence properties of 1 and 2 show characteristic emission of Tb(III) and Eu(III) ions, respectively. The solid-state quantum yield Фtotal is 19.96 ± 2.00% and 6.84 ± 0.68% while the fluorescence decay lifetime is τ = 560.2990 μs and τ = 233.8299 μs for 1 and 2, respectively.
