Abstract

The method involved in this paper may bring new prospects for research of immature oocytes quality between the aging mice and the pubertal mice. By adopting the two-photon excitation laser scanning microscopy and studying nucleolus morphological parameter such as the shape, volume size and location, more abundant information were obtained about the immature oocytes of aging and pubertal mice, and may provide a broader approach to search the relationship between the oocyte quality and maternal-age effect as well as other predisposing factors.
