Abstract
Tailoring microstructure of metal matrix composites can achieve superior mechanical properties, especially for the plasticity. In this work, both pure Ni and the 3D network structure TiNNP/Ni composites are synthesized through the combination of low energy balling and spark plasma sintering, with the same process. The strength of the 3D structure TiNNP/Ni composites improved from 180 MPa to 690 MPa while the ductility is as high as the pure Ni prepared.
