Abstract

The channel model of propagation characteristics is significant in the study of three-dimensional multiple-input multiple-output (3D-MIMO) technique. In reality, the materials of buildings affect the parameters of the channel model in terms of reflection and diffraction. In this paper, signal propagation is studied in the 2.4 GHz band based on ray-tracing method in two empty rooms, one with wood walls and the other with ceramic walls. Based on our specific scenario, a 3D channel model is built. Considering the impact of materials on the channel model, we first calculate reflection coefficients of the two materials, and then we investigate their spatial spectrums by using the MUSIC algorithm.
