Abstract

The grounded-source transient electromagnetic method has the characteristics of convenient installation of emission source and large emission power, and is being widely used. To get a fine interpretation of observation data, we introduce a three-dimensional inversion algorithm for the grounded-source transient electromagnetic data. Firstly, the unstructured time-domain finite-element method is used to calculate the electromagnetic response, and then the quasi Newton method is used for data inversion. Finally, the reliability of this algorithm is verified by applying it to the theoretical model.
