Abstract

• A successful synthesis of 3D BiMo-MOF over γ-Bi 2 (MoO 6 ) on Ti sheet. • 3D Cabbage-like microflower morphology with nanosheets is formed. • Self-sacrificial template-assisted method used to fabricate 3D BiMo-MOF hybrid. • Microparticle size, thermally stable, and electrochemically active BiMo-MOF hybrid. A 3D-Cabbage like microflower assembled by nanosheets and anchored with microspheres covered with spider’s web-like layer bismuth molybdenum-metal organic framework hybrid (3D-BiMo-MOF@BMO/Ti) is successfully synthesized using self-sacrificing template-assisted synthesis. This unique morphology of the sample would avail the material with complete accessibility to the interfacial surface, which is helpful for many applications such as catalysis, energy storage, gas sensing etc. The as-prepared sample revealed microparticle size, good thermal stability and electrochemical activeness. Compared to bare bismuth molybdenum oxide (γ-Bi 2 (MoO 6 )), this bimetallic MOF hybrid showed better electrochemical activity and thus can be employed for energy storage and many other applications.
