Abstract

We propose an imaging system based on a hybrid method using a synthetic aperture technique for medical diagnosis of heart diseases. When the time resolution is 200 3-D images/s, the number of elements can be reduced to about 1/11 of a dense array of a digital beamforming imager having the same time and spatial resolutions.
