Abstract
A 70-year-old women, admitted to treat gastric ulcer, was diagnosed broad based lipoma, sized 3.0cm in diameter, at transverse colon. The tumor was completely removed by endoscopic resection, using both endoscopic piecemeal mucosal resection technique, and enucleation technique together. Broad based lipoma, more than 3.0cm in diameter, is generally accepted to be treated by surgical operation. However using these techniques considerable lipoma may be removed by endoscopic resection. Therefore, endoscopic resection technique will be the first choice for the treatment of colonic lipoma.
