Abstract

Two new 3-aminospirosolane steroidal alkaloids, (22 S,25 S)-3 α-amino-5 α-spirosolane and (22 S,25 S)-3 β-aminospirosol-5-ene, along with the known soladunalinidine were isolated from the alkaloid fraction of a methanol extract of Solanum arboreum. Their structures were determined by a combination of 1D and 2D NMR techniques and mass spectrometry.
