Abstract

All-terrain vehicle (ATV) training certification courses are recommended for adolescents who will ride ATVs, but there is little data regarding how it effects subsequent safe riding behaviors. Our study objectives were to determine adolescents’ exposure to ATVs and their crash and injury experiences, and to determine factors associated with having completed an ATV safety training course and its impact on riding behaviors.
