Abstract

This study aims to analyze drivers braking behavior to detect unusual driving using driving simulator. The velocity deviation as information on driver's recognition is defined by the difference between the present vehicle velocity and the desired velocity which enables the vehicle to stop at the desired position if the present deceleration is kept constant. Observing the relation between the velocity deviation and the braking operation makes it possible to detect unusual driving behavior.
