Abstract
This study tried to construct a exhibiting system of tennis motions of the computer graphics (CG) animation based on the actual three dimensional coordinate data. For the making of the system, we computed three-dimensional locations of body points of tennis serve by using the direct liner transformation (DLT) procedure. In the assessment of this system, we analyzed anticipation accuracy, anticipation judgment and visual search patterns when an expert tennis player anticipated serve course during the observation of projected serve motion (VTR movie or CG animation). In the VTR trial, there were no characteristic differences between the presentations of center-course serve and side-course serve in anticipation accuracy, anticipation judgment and visual search patterns. The visual search pattern during the CG trial was different from that shown during VTR. It was indicated that the feature of CG motion that include less visual information than biological motion might have affected on the expert player's visual search patterns.
