Abstract

Introduction and aims of the study: Great grand multiparity (GGM) (a woman delivering for the 10thtime or more) has mostly disappeared in Western countries. Are great grand-multiparous women at increased risk of maternal/neonatal complications? Methods: Retrospective analysis from computerised patient records. All women with deliveries ≥ 10 between 1stJanuary 2014 and 31stDecember 2020. The incidence of diabetes mellitus, preterm birth, stillbirth, multiple pregnancies, malpresentation, Caesarean and vaginal births, uterine rupture, major obstetric haemorrhage were calculated and compared to the reported in the literature ones.
