Abstract

Insulating paint including hollow ceramic beads is expected to be one of the best solutions for Global Warming problem. This research has evaluated the thermal insulating characteristics of paint including two kinds of hollow beads called as MHCB and SLBG. Measurement of the room temperature variation in the painted house model and the thermal insulation experiment utilizing rubber heater have been carried out to evaluate those. From these experiments, we confirmed the high insulation characteristics of paint with hollow beads and found the difference between the MHCB and SLBG in insulation characteristics.
