AbstractThe human visual system processes binocular disparity and motion in separate modules. Both modules provide information that allows humans to segment objects from backgrounds, and to analyze surface structure. The two systems work co‐operatively in image analysis, but stereopsis is less effective for analyzing moving images than for analyzing static ones.
