Abstract

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare neutrophilic dermatosis characterized by chronic, painful ulcerations. PG is challenging to diagnose due to its variable presentation, clinical overlap with other conditions, and the absence of defining markers. Consensus diagnostic criteria have recently been proposed for the clinical diagnosis of PG but remain underutilized. Our objective was to assess the use of published Delphi Consensus (DC) diagnostic criteria in patients with suspected PG, and to evaluate differences in criteria met between true PG and ulcers due to alternate diagnoses.
