Abstract

In the emergency department (ED), patients commonly require procedural sedation (PS). This is performed in order to minimize the pain and anxiety associated with various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. There is currently no large scale study which investigates how cocaine affects the incidence of adverse events (AE) in ED PS.
