Abstract

Exsanguination remains the leading cause of preventable battlefield death, and post-traumatic hypothermia- induced coagulopathy increases mortality. However, this original HPMK is no longer commercially available, empirical evidence suggests that the newer model is inferior to the original, and other manufacturers have produced competing devices.
