Abstract

This paper describes the flow visualization along and across a horizontal square channel by dye injection method. The side walls were composed of high temperature wall (TWH=40°C) and low temperature wall (TWL=20°C). The water temperature at the inlet was changed from 10°C to 50°C. A swirl flow was generated longitudinally by large temperature difference between fluid and wall. Additionally, both large and small recirculating flows were constructed across the flow passage.
