Abstract
Strong opioids are commonly used following head and neck cancer surgery. Constipation is a predictable side effect associated with discomfort and delirium. These patients are prone to constipation for many other reasons. Co-prescription of laxatives with strong opioids is recommended. This first cycle audit sought to measure co-prescription rates.
