Abstract

Many children in foster care have chronic medical and mental health problems and unmet needs. These children are not only difficult to treat but have difficulty finding an appropriate level of care and have more placement disruptions. The goals of this presentation are to provide guidelines to clinicians caring for these children and to review some state child welfare practices to address the needs.
