Abstract
To address the gap between the need for and availability of youth mental health (MH) services, the AAP and AACAP have called for partnerships between pediatricians and child and adolescent psychiatrists, increased integration of MH services, and increased MH training for pediatricians to improve MH competency and thus increase access to care. There has been a particular emphasis on increasing MH training for pediatrics residents. This session will review the UC Davis Pediatrics Residency’s integrated MH resident training program and examine whether this leads to changes in resident comfort with MH issues.
