Abstract

Children with problematic sexual behavior increasingly are being identified by professionals, many of whom are unsure of how to respond or support these children and their families. Evidence-based treatment that is outpatient, short term, and involves children’s caregivers is highly effective at reducing or eliminating problematic sexual behaviors in children. This study provides long-term 10-year outcomes of children in an RCT of problematic sexual behavior-CBT and dynamic play therapy. The study included a comparison group of children with nonsexual behavior problems.
