Abstract

Pattern formation phenomena often occur in contact rotating systems. A prevention method using dynamic absorbers was suggested and a design method of the effective dynamic absorbers was formulated for multi-DOF system. The dynamic absorbers are individually designed one by one for each mode. However, influence between intended modes becomes large in some systems and prevents the effective design of dynamic absorbers. In order to overcome this difficulty, combination of the slight structural modification and dynamic absorbers is suggested. The effectiveness is verified from the results of numerical computations for a 3-DOF system with 4 rolls as an example.
