Abstract

Acne affects adolescent but also adult patients. One study did not find any impact on sleep in young patients. However, another (small sample) study indicated a relationship of poor sleep quality with acne. The present study objective was to assess sleep characteristics including quality and daytime sleepiness in adult acne patients. A digital questionnaire was administered to a large patient population aged ≥18 with mild to severe acne. The Epworth questionnaire was used to assess daytime sleepiness.
