Abstract

Background: Teledermatology (TD) may benefit patient access, however detailed barriers to its implementation are unknown. We sought to evaluate barriers to implementation of a pilot virtual clinic TD service at Duke University. Methods: We evaluated the implementation success of TD using the Reach, Efficacy, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance framework and the electronic health record. Barriers to implementation were collected through an in-person meeting and survey of site medical directors.
