Abstract

Purpose of Study: To investigate the difference in length of stay (LOS) and cost among children’s hospitals and non-children’s hospitals when caring for neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Since the establishment of therapeutic hypothermia (TH) as standard care for neonatal HIE, LOS and cost for management of neonatal HIE has not been thoroughly investigated.
