Abstract
This paper will introduce the latest publish of VDE SPEC 90017 V1.0 which covers the durability and functionality testing of displays or surfaces materials or products in the vicinity of the display. It is applicable for the developer and producer of displays, films and coatings and electric switches or buttons, the integration provider and the overall product OEM. This specification ensures that the durability of their products is consistent in quality and performance, withstanding environmental and regular usage stress during the entire lifetime in its application and specific environment.
