348 Enabling 72-hour Emergency Department Returns Measurement With Regional Data From a Health Information Exchange

Abstract

To compare the measurements of 72-hour emergency department (ED) returns from an emergency department (ED) information system (EDIS) to data derived from a functioning health information exchange, the New York Clinical Information Exchange (NYCLIX). This comparison will help validate the use of health information exchange data for a more broad-based quality measure of returns across multiple EDs in New York City.
