Abstract

Active noise control for a duct system is extended and is applied to that of flat space between two parallel planes. When the noise source has a known periodic, the active noise control can be done by two devices of the control speaker and the error microphone at either duct end, Then filtered-X adaptive notch filer is employed. In this paper, it is tried that the noise radiated from flat panel speakers between two parallel square planes is controlled by the control speaker opposite to the noise source. The flat panel speakers are put at a center part of the board. The control effect in circumference of the square flat space is experimentally verified for two kinds of noise source, sine wave noise and triangular wave noise.
