Abstract

Objectives: The diagnosis of fetal microcephaly has traditionally relied upon measurements of fetal head perimeter and BPD over the femur. However those measurements are little affected by microcephaly, since they only measure the base of the skull, while microcephaly affects mostly the vault. In this study our objective was develop a method to assess the cranial vault using three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound method.
