Abstract
Studies have shown that targeted use of clinical decision support is associated with a decrease in the utilization of advanced imaging tests. As part of our normal quality assurance process, a passive reminder was added to our emergency department (ED) information system, notifying providers if a patient had received more than 5 computed tomography scans within the prior 365 days.
