Abstract

We report a two-step nucleation and growth of CdTe quantum dots via magic-sized cluster intermediates. In this low-cost aqueous phase procedure (10 times lower than organic-phase), the spectrally narrow emission (37 nm) with high quantum yield >50%) can be utilized for high definition and color gamut displays.
