Abstract

This paper describes on the education of ethics provided by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE). JSCE established the Code of Ethics in 1938 under the supervision of Dr. Akira Aoyama, and it has been revised in 1999 due to the change of social environment surrounding civil engineers. The examples relating to the civil engineer's ethics have been collected by the education committee of engineer's ethics and they are analysed to use in the education. The practise for the education is offered by OPCET of JSCE under the system of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
