Abstract
The authors have been working to improve usability of CAE system and had proposed and implemented an interface agent in a CAE system. As a result of usability tests, it was known that users have a lot of difficulty in the process of three dimensional geometry manipulation. One of the reasons for that was insufficient explanation in basic concepts in three dimensional geometry manipulation. A usability test was performed on a commercial CAD system for the purpose of getting clues for a better user support in geometry modeling in a CAE context. The evaluation results and discussion were presented.
