Abstract

Aleukemic leukemia cutis (ALC) is an extremely rare condition characterized by skin infiltration of leukemic cells preceding abnormal hematologic findings. Patients with ALC eventually develop a hematologic malignancy. Due to the rare incidence of this phenomenon, it may be misdiagnosed, and a high index of suspicion is essential for prompt diagnosis. We present the case of a 61-year-old woman evaluated by our inpatient dermatology service, with a 4-year evolution of skin lesions recently expanding in size and number.
