Abstract

Sweet syndrome is a neutrophilic dermatosis which presents with acute onset erythematous papules and plaques with fever. This condition has several associated triggers and can be idiopathic, drug-related, or malignancy-associated. We present a unique case of a 56-year-old male with a history of myasthenia gravis on 30 mg daily oral prednisone at the time of presentation who developed azathioprine-induced Sweet syndrome 3 weeks following azathioprine initiation. Relevant laboratory values include an ESR of 62 (normal 0-20) and white blood cell count of 8200 with 91.5% neutrophils.
