Abstract

Our study examines the top dermatologic authors currently in fellowship by a different influence metric called the h-index, highest number h where an author has published h papers cited at least h times. The h-index may better capture the broad influence of an author’s work by accounting for both productivity and impact, while resisting bias from highly cited articles. The Web of Science for dermatology publications (WOS category field WC = ‘Dermatology’) between 2012-2021, to coincide with current article indexing and h-index calculation by InCites, a customizable web-based citation evaluation tool.
