Abstract

Generalized granuloma annulare (GGA) can be difficult to treat. Our institution previously evaluated the efficacy of methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, and dapsone for GGA. We compared that to unpublished data on pentoxifylline. Institutional review board approval was obtained to retrospectively review records of GGA patients who underwent systemic therapy. All cases were generalized and biopsy-proven. Outcomes were categorized as complete clearance, partial response (fewer, flattened, faded lesions), and no response.
