Abstract

Introduction: Melanomas in the elderly account for 40% of diagnosed melanomas. Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SNB) is currently recommended as a staging method for intermediate-thickness melanoma (Breslow thickness, >1 mm). The primary objective of our study was to determine if there is a difference in SLNB status predictors in two different age groups, younger and older than 75 years old.
