Abstract
A new hybrid method for calculating wear and contact stress in fretting fatigue process has been proposed using FEM analysis code "ABAQUS" combined with Archard model in classic wear analysis. The effects of the reduction by fretting wear on relative slip and contact stresses were successfully simulated under several conditions on pad length, nominal contact pressure and applied load.
