Abstract

Cutaneous giant cell sarcoma (cGCS) is a rare mesenchymal tumor that typically presents in the skin or subcutis of young to middle aged adults. Current literature on cGCS is limited to single institution case series and case reports of fewer than 20 cases. We characterized factors influencing survival outcomes for cGCS using the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database. Individuals with a diagnosis of giant cell sarcoma were identified using histology and location codes. A Cox proportional hazard model was used to assess univariate and multivariate predictors of survival.
