Abstract

Head-on collision accident's fatal and injury percent is highest in all fatal and injury accidents. Therefore, it is important to study and develop active safety technologies for Head-on collision. As part of this, in order to clarify the principal causes of head-on collisions and to establish a reference model when passing through unsignalized intersections without the right of way, the experiment was conducted on the test course using the experimental vehicle to collect driving data of expert drivers, hi addition, the simulation model is constructed based on these data in an effort to clarify the safety driving behavior. This paper describes the change in driving behaviors before and after change at intersection environment and the evaluation of it by the simulation model.
